A speaker for your desk doesn’t necessarily need the same features as one you take away for the weekend. Before comparing wattage, think about where you’ll listen, how you’ll connect your music and whether portability is the priority.
Our range includes compact wireless speakers, a split speaker system and portable karaoke options.
A compact speaker for everyday listening
The Digitech BT 5.4 Portable Wireless Speaker 5W combines Bluetooth with USB and microSD playback, FM radio and RGB lighting.
Those extra inputs can be useful if you don’t always want to stream from your phone. Bluetooth is only part of the story if you also want to play music from a cable or another source.
Its published playback figure is 3–5 hours at 70% volume. Battery figures come with test conditions, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise for every listening session.
A speaker that separates into two
The Flow 2-in-1 Portable Split Wireless Speakers separates into two speakers and offers 10W combined RMS output, RGB lighting, AUX and SD card inputs.
More watts don’t tell the whole story about sound quality. Driver design, the room, speaker placement and your preferred listening level all matter too.
Want to sing along?
The Flow Wireless Karaoke Speaker with Two Microphones comes with two wireless microphones, along with wireless music streaming, USB and AUX inputs.
That makes it a different choice from a basic music speaker. If singing together is the main job, included microphones can make a real difference.
What does water resistance mean?
The Digitech compact model is rated IPX4, while the Flow split model is rated IPX6. Neither rating should be treated as permission to submerge the speaker. The manufacturer’s guidance explains the limits for water exposure, drying and charging.
